  • Pronounce 80 % of new and old words in a text correctly while acting out.

Some learners will be able to:

  • Understand the main points of a short story

Pronounce 90-100 % of new and old words in a text correctly while acting out.

  • Greet students. This time ask the students to do the role-play of a mini-teacher.

  • Choose one student and tell him/her to ask daily questions (e.g. What date is

  • it today? What’s the weather like today? How are you? etc.)

  • Then ask the students to copy down the date, topic and will learn sentence.

One student asks daily questions and others answer.

Pre-Reading task.

  1. Pass out the text.

Differentiation: Give stronger readers the text with only one picture.

  1. Tell students to look at the text, read the title and look at any available pictures. Ask them what they think the text is about.

  2. Ask students to identify new vocabulary words written in the text.

  1. Read the text dramatically to students to try to show meaning.

  2. Have students read the text, one by one to practice pronunciation while reading (R.3S.5)
