Greeting.

The teacher greets the students. Then, Teacher shows the lesson and learning objectives. (W).


HOOK (W): Teacher shows the picture and let students guess what they are going to do on the lesson.


Warm-up (P,W): Students are given the task. Teacher asks to fill the diagram about hobbies for men, women and both of them.

Students discuss it in pairs and then name them aloud to whole class.

Pre-listening

Teacher shows the pictures on Slide 5 and students tries to guess the hobbies

Answers:

  1. nail art design. 2) hiking,3) gardening,4) birds watching

  2. Students are given the handout listening and two minutes to look at the questions

Teacher can use the website to play the recording or read the script of listening task.

While –listening

Students listen to the recording and complete the task

Post –listening

Then students swap the papers and check their partners’ answers

Answers for listening

  1. I like to walk in the mountains with my dog.( hiking)

Teacher asks to count the right answers and announce the listening task’s results. Teacher makes notes.
