(T-Ss) Starter Warm-up “Quizz” Teacher gives cards of words with the words of Abai Summer Eye of my Eye Oh my Luckless Kazakh Semei Aigerim Learners make a sentences using these words. Descriptor: A Learners identifies claddroom instructions whiepers the sentence to another student Oral assessment: Well Done! Good Job! No bad! Teacher suggests learners to take their places. |

INTRDUCTION 1.Demonstration Teacher shows pupils a picture on the board and asks questions: What can you see on the picture? 2.Who is it? (Portrait of Abai) What can you say about Abai? 3. Well Done! Dear Students! Today we shall talk about the great poet of our Motherland Abai Kunanbaev. Teacher introduces learners learning and lesson objectives and asks learners to put them down in their copybooks: To learn new words To make up sentences using new words To use these words in the speech: DEVELOPMENT Pre Reading Activity: Teacher gives every pair of learners a copy worksheet with words related to the story. They have to connect them to the correct pictures. They should know at least seven words from ten. Then teacher helps them with the unknown words. If it is necessary. (T-Ss, Ss-Ss) Assessment “Three facts and a Fib” Learners have to write four words, one of the must written false. The other students have to find the mistaken word. While reading activity: Teacher gives the learner unscrambles words. Pupils have to make sentences from these words. (T-Ss). Post Reading activity Teacher asks learners to find the right order of the sentences. The answer will be checked with the help of the cards. In order to evaluate their work they may check each other`s work, (T-Ss. Ss-Ss) Peer Assessment “Thumbs” Post Reading activity 2. Teacher the tasks according to their levels. Learners are given ten minutes fir preparation. Less able students are given to make up phrases using the new words. More able students make up sentences should make up sentences using new words. High motivated students act out the story in some pupils. They start performing their tasks. Each group listen to their peers` performance and assess each other according to the assessment criteria. ASSESSMENT “Sandwich” (Learners gives one positive comment and contextual statement) Teacher offers learners to sit down. |

PLENARY “A success Ladder” To check their understanding during a lessons teacher gives each learner a sticker and suggests them to write sown their names and stick a leaf on the poster. Dear Students, what new words have you learnt today? What was difficult for you? How do you think did we achieve our lesson aims? Please, stick these leaves on the poster. READY TO MOVE ON! ? I HAVE A QUESTION I DID NOT UNDERSTAND Class routine Teacher suggests learners to write down the hometask, stand up and say “Good bye!” . Now the lesson is over. See you soon! |
