46 To personalise and expand
on the topic
• Ask Ss to discuss in
pairs which mnemonic device they think could help them remember
things best. • Monitor activity around the class. • Ask various Ss
to tell the class.
|
Suggested Answer
Key
A: I think that using
images would best help me to remember things. As a visual learner,
it’s easier for me to remember a piece of information if I can
associate it with a picture.
B: For me, connection
works best. When I study, I try to connect something I already know
with the new thing I want to memorise.I find it especially helpful
when I have to remember names of people or places; I just create a
mental connection with a person I already know and places I’ve
visited.
