Explain the task and ask a pair of Ss to model the example exchange.

Explain or elicit the meanings of any unknown words and then ask Ss to work in pairs and discuss the foods and cooking methods following the example.

T divides the class into small groups and explain the task. T gives special cards. Allow Ss time to think about various food festivals in their country and make a list and include what foods people eat during the festivals. • Then ask various groups to use their list to present the festivals to the class.

Aim: to talk about food festivals; to expand the topic

Differentiation: by resources (By using interactive tools, digital applications, posters pictures mixed-ability classes get the opportunity to approach a topic or subject from different angles. In some cases, digital resources can also highlight a skill or passion in students with less academic ability, while others might work more effectively with non-traditional resources and mediums.)

Ss work in various groups and use their list to present the festivals to the class.





Group A: Create a brochure about festivals that came from another country;

Group B: Make a list of foods with cooking methods of one festival.

Group C: Create a poster about a chosen festival date;

Explain the task and ask Ss collect information, some facts from the Internet about unique Cooking methods and techniques from around the world.

Then ask Ss to use their notes to discuss about these questions:

-What are the ancient cooking methods?

-What country is steal follow the ancient cooking techniques? Name them

-What interesting country do you know with unusual methods of cooking?

Aim: developing an awareness of their own cultural identities and an appreciation of others’ cultural and intercultural values

Ss develop their cultural knowledge. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in intercultural communication and have discussion.
