    Organization moment.-To welcome students;-To register them;-To divide into three groups with the help of pictures.

    Warm up activity.Students may stand anywhere and imitate actions from video and dance. This energizer helps students’ to feel good from the very beginning of the lesson.

    Checking up the home task.Students sit on the author’s chair and read the exercise 6 at page 130 from their copy-book. The rest of the class should correct the mistakes of student sitting on the author’s chair.

    Presentation of new materialBrainstorming. Teacher asks some questions according the theme.
  • Have you ever heard the name George Washington?
  • Do you know anything about Walt Disney?
  • What holidays do you know which are celebrated in the USA?


  • Jigsaw reading.Groups are given three different topics.
  • George Washington’s early childhood . Group 1.
  • Walt Disney. Group 2.
  • Holidays in the USA. Group 3.
  • Students should read the topics in a limited time then present their topics to other groups.

    Classroom Discussion. Caption of each group takes one card with one question and make discussions in their group. Group 1: Do you celebrate thanksgiving Day in your country?Group 2: Do you celebrate Halloween? How and in what countries celebrated Halloween?Group 3: What holidays do we celebrate in our country?After discussion in their small group students should present their questions for other groups. Feedback.Reflective writing.Each group writes about the traditional holidays of our country (not less than ten sentences). Then they present their writing to other group.Conclusion of the lesson.Teacher concludes the lesson using Blob’s tree. Each pupil should write his or her name onto the tree.
