    GreetingHello, boys and girlsHow are you? What day is it today? What date is it today? What month is it now? What is the weather like today?Pre-learning (G)
  • Divide the students into 3 groups GO,PLAY and DO Ask students to look at images of hobbies. All free time activities are concerning with this verbs
  • Group 1 has to name activities with the verb GO
  • Group 2 has to name activities with the verb PLAYGroup 3 has to name only activities with the verb DO
  • Pre-teach or drilling: GO swimming, GO dancing, Go shopping, PLAY tennis, Play football, Play computer games, Do crafts, Do gymnastics, Do puzzle (Students can write the words on the board with pictures, so all the words you need for the lesson will be in front of the students or you can show them on PPT with pictures)
  • Differentiation In the group less able students can name the words while more able learners can categorized them in groups

  • Teacher gives 3 texts about different activities and there one conditional sentence in each text. Teacher explains Zero conditional. Ss should guess the sentence

  • Teacher pre-teaches zero conditional. Show students conditionl sentence in each text and drill the pronunciation.
  • Put some questions about the text to clarify that they understand them.
  • Task
  • Ss should write part of sentence using pictures below

  • Students can write the part of sentence correctly.
  • Students write the names correctly
  • Students clearly pronounce the sentences
  • (Students check and correct if necessary)Differentiation
  • More support can be given at the start and in middle of lesson by providing less-able learners with some vocabulary in a word list so they can read examples of words seen or heard.
  • Ask more able students to ask at least 5 questions about their hobby. What’s your favourite free time activity? What do you do if you have free time?
