Lesson objectives

All learners will be able to: identify the first or high-frequency phonemes of the subject-related vocabulary, answer the questions based on the prompt, talk about their likes, based on the written prompts

Most learners will be able to: identify several phonemes of the subject-related vocabulary, answer the questions based on the prompt, talk about their likes based on the teacher’s oral presentation with some support

Some learners will be able to: identify the several phonemes of the subject-related vocabulary, ask and answer the questions based on the prompt, talk about their likes, classify food in groups based on the teacher’s oral presentation with little or no support

Success criteria

Learners have met this learning objective if they can:

-identify high-frequency phonemes

- say what kind of food he or she likes

- use structure What do you like…? and respond on a question;

-do most of tasks correctly.

Key words and phrases: Food and drink items: milk, cheese, bananas, juice, eggs, chicken, like, don’t like, yum, yuk I’ve got some milk for you. I like milk. Yum! I don’t like milk. Yuk!
