Task 1.
Read the text about «Marta’s Job Interview
Story». Group work
Hello. My name is Marta, and I
am looking for a new job. I want to be a bank teller. About two
weeks ago, I filled out an application for the position and turned
it in to the bank down the street from my house. They called me
last week, and yesterday I went for an interview. I was very
nervous because I really wanted to get this job. I don’t have any
experience being a bank teller, but I have a lot of other skills
and qualifications that make me a good candidate for this job. I
tried to tell this to the interviewer without sounding too proud. I
told her that I am a reliable worker, who always makes sure to do
the best job I can. She asked me if I have had good attendance at
work, and I said yes, that I am very dependable. I also told her
that I don’t make a lot of mistakes because I always pay attention
to detail. I told her that I love to work with people so I am a
good team player, and I also enjoy customer
service.
