Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Aims:1) to develop students` speaking, communicative and creative skills

2)to motivate students to read books in foreign language

SCENE -1

Dumbledore announces that Hogwarts will host the Triwizard Tournament, in which a champion of Hogwarts will compete against champions from other wizarding schools. The champions are chosen by the Goblet of Fire from names dropped into it.

Albus Dumbledore: Well, I`d like to make an announcement. Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event The Triwizard Tournament. It brings together 3 schools and from each school a single student is selected to compete.

Beaxbatens Academy girls: Hello. We are the lovely ladies of Beaxbatons Academy of magic.

Boys from Durmstrang school: Hello. We are the proud sons of Durmstrang

Ron Weasley: It`s him Victor Krum

Minerva McGonagall: No student under the age 17 shall be allowed to put forth their name for The Triwizard Tournament

Students: That`s rubbish

Albus Dumbledore: Silence!

SCENE-2

Students writе their names on paper and throw them in the Goblet of Fire.

Students: Come on, Cedric

Ron Weasley: Eternal glory.3 years from now when we are old enough to be chosen

Harry Potter: Yeah, rather you than me

Fred and George Weasley(1):Yes. Thank you. We cooked it up just this morning.

Hermione Granger: It is not going to work

Fred and George Weasley(1):Oh,yeah? And why is that ,Granger?

Hermione Granger: You see this?This is an age line.Dumbledore drew it himself

Hermione Granger:So, genius like Dumbledore could1t be fooled by aging potion.

Dumbledore reads the names of contestants

Albus Dumbledore:Victor Krum.Cedric Diggory.Fleur Delacour.Harry Potter.HARRY POTTER!

Students:He is a cheat!!!

SCENE-4

The first task

Bartemius Crouch Senior:Champions in acircle around me.Miss Delacour,if you will -The Welsh Green,Mr.Krum-The Chineese Fireball,Cedric-The Swedish Short-snout,Harry Potter-The Hungarian Horntail.

These represent 4 real dragons and Each of them protects a golden egg.Your task is simple-collect the egg.

Neville Longbottom:absolutely

Harry Potter:For an hour?

Neville Longbottom:Most likely

Harry Potter: Most likely ? You must be joking.

Neville Longbottom: I just wanted to help

Albus Dumbledore: Welcome to the second task. Last night something was stolen from each of our champions. In order to win you need only find your treasure and return to the surface.

Student1: What`s the matter with him?

Student2: I don`t know .I cannot see him

Neville Longbottom:Oh,my God .I`ve killed Harry Potter.

Albus Dumbledore:Earlier today Professor Moody placed the Triwizard Cup deep within the maze.First person to touch the cup will be the winner. Let`s start

Cedric Diggory: Where are we?

Harry Potter: I`ve been here in my dream.Let`s go back to the cup

Cedric Diggory: Who are you? What do you want?

Lord Voldemort: Kill him

Peter Pettigrew: Avada Kedavra

Harry Potter:No .Cedric

Lord Voldemort:Quick now

Peter Pettigrew:Bone of the father ,unknowingly given. Flesh of the servant, willingly sacrificed. Blood of the enemy,forcibly taken.The Dark Lord shall rise again.

Lord Voldemort: My wand.Harry Potter .The boy who lived.Pick a wand Potter.Get up.Bow.I said “Bow”.I am going to kill you!

Harry Potter:Expelliarmus!

Lord Voldemort:Avada Kedavra

The spirits of Harry`s parents: We can give you a moment . Run!

Lord Voldemort:No!

Conclusion.

So, the Triwizard Tournament was used as a trap for Harry Potter in order to resurrect Lord Voldemort.Dumbledore announced Voldemort's return to the school. However, many people refused to believe it. Dumbledore put plans against Voldemort into action. Not wanting his tournament winnings, Harry gave them to Fred and George to start a joke shop, and returned to the Dursleys.
