Main activities |
Exercise 1 p.24. Ask the question to the class and elicit ideas. If students find this difficult, brainstorm features which might be found in a famous person's house, such as swimming pools, cinema rooms, big gardens, etc. Use LI if necessary, and write suitable ideas on the board. Ask students to explain the reasons for their choices. Exercise 2 p.24. Tell students to look at the advert and the photo to find the answer to the question. Point out that at this stage, they only need to scan the text for the specific information, and they do not need to understand every word. Exercise 3 CD 1.17 p.24. Focus students on the postcard image and explain that it shows the house of a celebrity. Ask for ideas about who the celebrity might be. Tell students to read the sentences carefully and to think about whether they are true or false as they listen. |

Students look at the advert and answer the question “What does Classic Car Company offer?” ANSWERS: A three-hour tour of celebrities' homes in Los Angeles in a Cadillac car. Students read and listen to the advert and the postcard, identifying if the statements are true or false, then correct the false setnences. ANSWERS:
