"London eye" — the Ferris wheel, built in the capital of England to celebrate the Millennium. By the time it was built, the London eye was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. Its height is 135 meters from the base.   Later, the "London eye" lost the championship to a similar attraction in Singapore. It is also planned to build a few more rides.

• The London Eye was officially opened by Prime Minister Tony Blair on 31 December 1999, but was not open to the paying public until 9 March 2000 due to a problem with the capsule's grip.

• "Eye" has 32 transparent capsules-cabins, each of which can accommodate up to 25 people. At the same time the attraction can ride 800 people. • In space cabins you can order champagne and strawberries, if desired — a ride in the "Cupid's Capsule" for two.

• The wheel makes a full turn in 30 minutes. Therefore, all the people sitting in the cabins, have time to enjoy the wonderful view of London literally from a bird's flight. • The wheel never stops to load and unload passengers. They say that in clear weather from the top of the London eye, even Windsor (which, for a minute, an hour drive) can be seen.
