This article explores the experience of implementing the author’s elective course “English in Action: Integrated Skills” for 6th grade students in Kazakhstan. The program is designed to integrate the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) with 21st century competencies (critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration) using CLIL methodology, project-based learning, and digital resources. The results demonstrate increased student motivation, improved academic performance, and successful participation in Olympiads and competitions. The study confirms the effectiveness of integrated skills instruction in fostering both linguistic proficiency and civic values, highlighting its potential for broader implementation in the Kazakhstani educational system.
