II. Teacher introduces the pupils with the theme and aims of
the lesson:
Today in our open lesson we shall work on the
theme “Shops” and also we’ll revise the construction “to be going
to do something”. We’ll revise a lexis you have already passed
too.
III. New lesson
There
are cards with numbers of a group you’ll work in on the table. Now
come to the table and take a card. Now we know what group each of
you will work in. Your hometask was to learn a dialogue between
Amy, Dominic and Kieran. Let’s listen to it. One pair of 4 groups
will come to the blackboard and defend it. Let’s begin with the
first group…There is a poem for you on the blackboard for you.
Let’s read it together!

next task for you is to work with posters. The first group will
take a theme “Greengrocer’s”, the second one will work on the theme
“Shopping”, the third group will have a theme “Food store” and the
last group will have a theme “to be going to do something”. I’ll
give you 8-10 minutes to do it…

Defending posters. One leader of each group defends a poster.

you had to learn a rule on the construction “to be going to do
something”. Who can tell us the rule and give the example writing
it on the blackboard? Let’s listen to…

The
next task for you is to do a grammar exercise which is on the
interactive board. Let’s do it orally. Your task is to fill in the
blanks and translate a sentence you will read.

V. Consolidation

have stickers on the table. Now I’ll ask you to write wishes and
advice to other groups on them. While you are writing your wishes
lets’ listen to our leaders… All of you worked very actively and
hard. Thank you for your work on the lesson. Now write down a
hometask.
VI. Hometask: Your hometask
will be to learn lexis on the theme “Shopping” and to make up 7-8
sentences on the construction “to be going to do
something”.
