Warm up Naming the words from previous unit. Teachers instruction: - Stand up, make a circle. -learners say the days of the week one by one. Then they will divide into pairs according to their words. e.g . Mondays, Tuesdays ……. |

Teacher shows pictures of animals to learners and explain new words. New words showing, naming words (chicken, sheep, cow, horse, duck, monkey, elephant) Task 1 (WC) Look at the pictures. Listen and nod “Yes” or “ No” 1. We can see elephants in the Zoo. 2. We can see lions in the Zoo and Circus 3. We can see a giraffe in the Circus. 4. We can see monkeys in the circus. 5. We can see an elephant in the Circus. Descriptor: A learner - Say “yes” or “no” answers correctly. Formative assessment(Quick nod)
Task 2 (IW) Name the animals. Find the first letter for the animal and colour it. Example: Frog. F or frog. The frog is green. The letter F is green too. Descriptor: A learner
