Greeting A teacher says to the learners:
The learners greet the teacher too. The teacher says that today’s lesson will be about something special in speaking and reading
Lead-in (Remembering skill) Learners are divided into two groups. Before the learners should look at the pictures of polar bear and camel . And teacher draw a mind map with phrases "Adapting of polar bear" for first group and for second group "Adapting of camel" , then discuss of why polar bear are able to live in very cold conditions and how camels have adapted to living in very hot ,dry conditions as they think and know
Pre-teach vocabulary Teacher shows some new words(your learners should copy them into their vocabulary copybooks):
Reading Learners read the text "Animal migration" They have Answer for question: "What's main idea?" And talk about animals migration by looking at pictures.
Game: "Find out your own seat" (kinesthetic learners, defining skill) Teacher gives each 5 students definitions of the words. Then students need to match them with the words which are written back of chairs .
Listening task and task for the picture. Students listen to the information about Grey whale and Arctic tern. Then find out which is Grey whale and which is Arctic tern by looking at pictures.
Listening for specific information: (identifying skill)
Students listen to information again for completing the table. First group about Grey whale and second group about Arctic tern. Checking the answers by teacher. Feedback. Project work in groups- according to consolidating task Students choose one animal by agreeing and then present about adaptation of this animal. Peer-assessment. They evaluate each other's work how they done by following criteria.
Teacher give feedback to each group.
Reflection Ask learners:
Homework: Learners should make a presentation about their favourite animal's adaptation.
