Theme of master-class:	Assessment at learning
Direction:	Competency-based approach: assessment of learning and assessment for learning
Aim:	To reveal the place of assessment in modern educational process as a way of defining the degree of achievements of planned learning outcomes
Expected results:	Participants will be able to use actively the types of assessment in their practice.

5 min 3 min	IntroductionAim: to greet participants and get acquainted with each other. Objective: to lead in the theme through acquaintance Theoretical part.Aim: to remember the types of assessment	M: Good day, dear colleagues. I’m glad to see you at our master-class. Today we will work in 2 groups. On your tables there are cards. Choose one and take your place.The 1st group is Numbers.The 2nd group is Expressions. Task: Work in pairs. Each partner should tell 3 interesting facts about him/herself. Task 2: 4 presenters should introduce their partners and others should assess presentations.Instruction: The 1st group assesses using five-point scale. The 2nd group uses expressions. Questions:Have we assessed presenters correctly? Why?What kind of assessment did we use? Presentation1	Participants make 2 groups, using given cards Find their pairs. They get acquainted with each other and get information. 4 participants present their partners and others assess presentations. Participants share with their opinions. Make notes
9 min	Practical partAim: to find out how to assess learners during and at the end of lesson.	Task for the 1st group: M: I offer you to fill basket with techniques of Formative Assessment. You should match techniques with definitions. Task for the 2nd group: Make a sample of summative assessment tasks with descriptors on the cross curricular unit “Travel”. Example: ListeningTask 1. Listen to the teacher and put the number (1, 2, 3) in the boxes. Task 2. Listen to the teacher and follow instructions. 2. Each group presents their works.	Know new techniques of formative assessment; Create a sample of summative assessment tasks with descriptors.
3 min	Feed-back/Conclusion	On your tables there are planes. On the wings write your opinions, answering these questions: Can I use formative and summative assessment?Did I get new information?What additional material do I need?M: Thank you for participation.
