Introducing criteria on assessment

Teacher introduces the criteria of assessment. For each correct answer a student gets points. At the end of the lesson student will be nominated according to their activities.

Teacher: Students, look at me, I'm looking for my glasses, have you seen? S: ''Here you are''. T: ''Oh, thank you''.

Teacher: ''Look here, I want to give you some advice, don't look down on your friends and always look after your parents''.

''If you don't know the meaning of this words look up in the dictionary''.

In pairs students ask and answer the questions using phrasal verbs -look-.

Task 1.

T: 1. Listen to me than repeat after me.

2. Teacher explains the meaning of the phrasal verbs.

Phrasal verbs with -look-: look after - ухаживать, заботиться; look ahead - планировать; look at - смотреть на кого- либо или на что-либо; look back - оглядываться назад; look down on - пренебрегать look for - искать; look forward to - ждать с нетерпением; look in - заглянуть, забежать, заскочить; look into - расследовать; look up - а) смотреть вверх, б) искать в книге, в словаре или на карте; look out - осторожно, берегись; look through - а) смотреть через окно, б) быстро пролистывать.

Students work in pairs to do the task.
