The Titanic

The Titanic is a big ship. It has several floors. It is a luxury ship so it has a swimming pool, a gym , and several restaurants. Many rich people paid a lot of money to take this trip. They are looking forward to a comfortable and exciting journey.

The ship is ready to go. Friends wave goodbye to each other.A band plays. Slowly, the ship moves out of the London harbour. The date is April 10, 1912.

Four days later , on April 14, 1912 , the ship moves close to the coast of Canada. Suddenly , the lookouter sees an iceberg and shouts :’’ Iceberg ahead !’’

A seaman is steering the ship. He tries to change the direction of the boat ,but it is too late.The ship hits the iceberg. There is a big bump.

Down below , water comes in. The captain orders the crew to get the lifeboats. There are 2,227 people on the ship , but the lifeboats can take only 1,100.

Some people jump into the ice cold water and try to swim to the lifeboats.The ship begins to tilt. The Titanic disappears.
