Revising the previous lesson: Checking up the homework. Dividing into subgroups: Teacher divides learners into subgroups using Puzzle pieces. Presenting new vocabulary: After discussing teacher shows his/her version and demonstrates the new words using pictures, slides.

Film review : The old man.

The old man is a drama film directed by Yermek Tursunov.It is about family relationships and the relationship between people and nature.It is based on a book,The Old Man and the Sea, which was written by the American writer Ernest Hemingway.The film is set in Kazakhstan and tells the story of Kassym an old shepherd who lives in the steppe together with his daughter-in-law and his grandson, Yerali.Kassym is interested in football. He watches all the matches and even names his sheep after famous footballers .He is annoyed that Yerali plays computer games all the time.The town where they live is very small and the boy is bored because there is nothing to do. He often argues with his grandfather. But when Kassym and his sheep disappear in the steppe during a winter storm, Yerali is worried about him and tries to find him.

The actors who play in the film are very good. Yerbulat Toguzakov stars as Kassym and Arynbek Moldakhan plays the role of Yerali. My favourite character is Kassym because he is brave.

Post-reading.Teacher asks questions about the text using CCQ approach, learners answer the questions.

-Can you identify the main heroes?

-What is the genre of this story?

-Where is it set?

-Who plays the main role in the film?

Task3.Writing on backs. Listen and discuss. Learners stand in a circle with their backs to each other and listen the description of the film ,then write the genre of film on the back of your partners. Partner identify the genre.

Teacher reads:

1.It can last for months and even a year. Especially women like to watch such kind of actions. If you don’t watch two series, you can know the plot.

2. It is about people who ride a horse and even they can fight on the horse. People name them Cowboys.etc…

Author’s chair: One learner sits in the chair. Others ask questions related on the topic. The learner sitting answers the questions. If he can’t he gives his place to another learner.

I used differentiation in every task.In the first task I helped learners by scaffolding with questions such as What kind of films do you know? The more able learners say the genres of films and match the words with pictures..In the second task differentiation was used according to the learner’s abilities to understand the text. The more able learners ask and answer the questions.After each task I motivated learners for the following work I said good,very good,excellent,well done .When some learners did’t understand my questions,I paraphrase some words.

Teacher will give for each students paper with a ship in the middle to assess themselves. Learners should paint the flag of ship corresponding colour.

-If you liked the lesson and you successfully coped with all the tasks - paint the flag in green

-If it was difficult for you at the lesson, but you could come to the right answer, color the flag in yellow

-If it was difficult for you to cope with the tasks in the class and you need the teacher's help - paint the flag in red.

In the first task groups assess each other by evaluating the work.

In the second task learners use self-assessment with the help of given correct answer.If the learner’s answer is correct ,he/she ticks the correct one.It creates favorable conditions for achievement of expected outcomes and successful progress.
