Theme of the lesson: Past Indefinite Tense.

The aim of the lesson:

1. To teach to speak about Past Indefinite Tense and three forms( Affirmative, negative and interrogative forms)

2. To develop students’ habits in reading short text and finding verbs, making exercises and writing topics of the lesson.

3. To teach to be active during the lesson.

Equipment of the lesson: interactive board, cards, grammar schemas and different pictures.

Types of the lesson: Competition lesson.

 The procedure of the lesson:

1. Organization of the lesson:

-Good morning, students. I am glad to see you. How are you? Who is on duty today?

Is anybody absent? What date is it today? What was the home task last lesson?

Thank you, sit dawn.

2. Ask the home task:

- OK students! I will check their exercises and ask questions.

1. What is the Past Simple?

2. What Kazakh form was/were?

3. How many forms in Past Simple?

4. Everybody make the sentences

New theme of the lesson:

I lived, I loved, I cried….

I stayed the first night at a hotel. In the morning I bought a map and went to see the University and I rented a room in a house.

I walked through the city to my classes every morning – Italian men said: ‘Ciao Bella!’ I liked it!

I spoke a little Italian from school but when I arrived in Rome I couldn’t understand people and I spoke English

or Polish with other Erasmus students. But then I started going to Italian classes and I also made friends with some Italians. They helped me a lot! After three months I could speak quite well.

Another problem was that Rome is very expensive, but I found a job in an Irish pub and I worked three evenings a week.

OK students, look at the grammar schemas.

Use.

We use the Past Indefinite Tense to talk about finished actions and past situations:

Examples:

Last year I worked on a farm during the holidays.

I saw the Loch Ness monster when I was in Scotland.

He died in France in 1519.

It was hot yesterday.

Form.

Regular verbs: In the Past Simple, we add -ed- to the infinitive: For verbs that end in -y-, change –y- to –ied:

I carry – I carried.

In questions and negative sentences we use did or did not/ didn’t + the infinitive without to:

I didn’t see her. Did you go to school yesterday?

Irregular verbs:

= see Irregular Verbs table in the Mini- dictionary.

Exercise: 2 Find the verbs and write the two forms.

Conclusion of the lesson:

Grandfather and grandmother sat in the café, the waitress ask them. Would you like coffee or ice cream? Grandfather ordered tea and grandmother ordered juice.

2.Прошедшем неделе моя подруга приехала из Астаны, она у меня гостила потом я ее проважала в вокзале.

Last week my friend came from Astana, she stayed in my home. Then I saw off on the station

3.На выходные мой брат и сестра выполняли уроки. Брат сидел на компютере, а сестра читала книгу.

On weekends my brother and sister done exercises. Brother sat near the computer and sister read book.
