• Understand and follow simple instructions using prepositions of place

• Spell accurately a few high-frequency words;

• Match pictures with prepositions correctly.

Play Which one is missing? with the class. Write the things inside a house on the board. Let the pupils look at them for one minute before closing their eyes. Erase a word. Ask them to open their eyes. Ask a pupil to tell you which word is missing. Repeat the activity as many times as you think is necessary.

1. Look at the board carefully.
2. Close their eyes when asked.
3. Say the missing word.

Show pictures of a fun day (park, children, toys). Introduce prepositions of place: next to, opposite,between.

Demonstrate with real objects and pictures. Distribute flashcards, explain and demonstrate activities. Conduct a team game where pupils ask and answer questions about item locations.

Play “How many words?” Pupils work in pairs or teams to write as many words related to a fun day (park, ball, tree, bench, etc.) as possible in a limited time. Count and compare results.

1. Repeat after the teacher the new prepositions.
2. Point or place objects according to instructions.
3. Answer questions using prepositions.
4. Play the team game by asking and answering questions.
