The theme of the lesson: «Animals in Jungle»

The aim of the lesson: Generalization of knowledge on the subject, development of intellectual abilities of pupils by means of problem, creative tasks.

Tasks:

1. Activation lexical and grammatical material.

2. The development of creative abilities of students.

3. The development of verbal memory, attention, logic thinking, ability to work in a team.

Organization moment.

Teacher: Good morning, everybody! We are glad to see you, our pupils and teachers.

Teacher: We’re going to show you the unusual lesson, « Animals in Jungle »

It’s a kind of game show. 

We’ll revise the vocabulary, grammar and then we’ll sing a song.

So, be happy and enjoy our lesson! 

There are 5 rounds in our game.

1. ‘Think and find’

2. ‘Swamp’

3. ‘Remember’

4. Let’s have rest.

5. Guess the things

Look, we have two teams “ Herbivorous” and “Predators’’. Every team has five members. (Herbivorous: zebra, giraffe, elephant, panda, monkey), (Predators: tiger, lion, panther, bear, crocodile). Let’s meet our teams! Teams, you are welcome!

Teacher: Introduce yourselves, please! (All team members are represented one by one, for example: P1: I’m a big Panda. I live in China. I’m beautiful and kind. P2: I’m a lion. I’m a king of animals. I’m strong.

Together: I team: We are all together!

II team: We come to win!

Let’s start our game!

I round: ‘Think and find’.

Both of groups have to answer the questions from the photos and sounds.

1. Call the name of this cartoon

2. Can you guess the name of animal?

3. What animal’s voice?

4. Can you call all these animals?

5. What do bears eat?

For every right answer you’ll get a banana or a bone.

II round. ‘Swamp’ You have to answer as animals.

1. What’s your favourite food?

2. Where do you live?

3. Where are you from?

4. Who’s your friend?

5. What is your hobby?

III. Remember

We’ll show you some things you have to remember and call names of things.

IV. Let’s have rest. Everybody is dancing.

V. Guess things.

We will tie your eyes with the cloth and you must guess things.

Teacher: Dear guests, you have listened this song in Russian so children will sing it in English. Listen and enjoy.

Teacher: Well, thank you very much for the song. Now, you may take your seats and get ready for the contest! 

Slide 8 . I. The task for you will be to solve the riddles!

Slide 9. In the presentation №1- slides 10,11,12,13. What is it? (Riddles about animals) (For each right answer your team will get a special prize, a mandarin or an apple).

Conclusion.

Each group must count their bananas and bones, we can know which group has collected more. The group which collected the highest point will be a winner.
