students into pairs to answer the question about the photo.
Do not check answers at this point. Students will do that in Exercise 2 by listening to the recording. Ex: 2 P: 64 • Before you play the recording, put the word causeway /'kɔ:zwe1/ on the board. Explain that it is a raised track or road that is used to cross ground that is wet or low. Tell students that the photo shows something called the Giant's Causeway. Tell students they are going to listen to a radio interview about the Giant's Causeway. Students listen and decide if the sentences are true or false. Check answers
Ex: 3 P: 64 • Refer students to sentences 1-8. Play the recording for students to choose the correct option in each of the sentences. Students can compare their answers in pairs before you check answers with the whole class
Ex: 4 P: 64 group work • Refer
students to the words and phrases in the box. Explain that they
are used to connect parts of a sentence or an idea expressed in
one sentence with one expressed in another.
