The aim of the lesson (Сабақтың мақсаты):

Educational: to read and learn new words, to work with pictures, exercises, to teach students to express their opinion about clothes, to consolidate the use of plural nouns.

Білімділігі: Оқушылардың сөздік қорын молайту, ағылшын тілінде сөйлеуге дағдыландыру, жаңа тақырыпқа байланысты өз ойларын айта білу, жаңа грамматиканы сабақта қолдану.

Developing: to develop students’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, to develop students’ theoretical and practical knowledge on given material, the use of plural nouns in their written and spoken speech to develop their cognitive abilities.

Дамытушылығы: Оқушылардың ойлау қабілетін дамыта отырып ауызша сөйлеуге, тыңдауға, жазуға қалыптастыру.

Bringing up: to educate the sense of love and interest for learning English language, to bring up students to respect the country, the traditions of the people whose language they learn, to teach them to be attentive to each other, ask them to use grammar material in their daily life.

Procedure of the lesson -Сабақтың барысы

I. Organization moment (Ұйымдастыру кезені)

1. Greetings (Амандасу).

Good morning, pupils! Who is on duty today? Who is absent? What is the date today? What day is it today? What season is it now? What is the weather like today?

Before beginning new lesson divide students into two groups.

Divide students using the pictures of men’s and women’s clothes. Give the name of the group.

2. Phonetic drill (Фонетикалық жаттығу).

To learn a little poem about clothes.

3. Working on the exercises. Жаттығулармен жұмыс істеу.

Exercise 1. Choose the correct words.

1.These trousers is/are very big.

2.Where is/are my blue shirt?

3.I want to buy a/some new jeans.

4. There is a/some shoe under the bed.

5. These trainers is/are too small for me.

6. There is/are a sock on the sofa.

Exercise 2. Listen the texts “Do you live to shop or ….shop to live?” about people from different countries to see what they think about clothes and shopping.

Group 1 listens about Yolanda, from Australia.

Group 2 listen about Michael, from the USA.

Text 1. Yolanda, from Australia.

Oh! I love clothes. I buy fashion magazines every week and watch programmes about clothes on TV. And I really love shoes – I have got more than fifty pairs at home! My friends and I talk about clothes a lot and we go shopping every Saturday afternoon. Today I want to buy some new shoes.

Text 2. Michael, from the USA.

I like looking good and I spend a lot of money on clothes every year, especially shirts and ties. I am a lawyer so what I wear at work is important. I go shopping every month and today I want to get some new trousers and a suit.

Answer the questions:

1.Where is he/she from?

2. Does he/she like shopping?

3.What does he/she love to wear?

4.What is he/she going to buy today?

IV. Conclusion. Қорытынды.

Group 1 makes poster using the pictures of men’s clothes.

Group 2 makes poster using the pictures of women’s clothes.

The task for each group is to make an advertising poster: image you are famous designers and you are advertising your sewing workshop. Make a poster to invite more customers to your workshop.

Each student has evaluating paper and evaluates herself the whole lesson. At the end of the lesson students give their papers to teacher.
