This unit recycles and revisits a lot of vocabulary seen in previous units, e.g. words for colours and simple objects and animals. Learners further practice giving short answers in response to direct questions.

• Teacher revises the days of the week and asks sts “What day is it today? What day was yesterday? What day will be tomorrow?”

• Teacher asks sts about the weather.

• Teacher nominates sts to answer “How are you?” question. Each student describes his/her mood saying “I am...”

Activity 1

• Teacher demonstrates flash cards with words on the topic “Birthday” and asks sts to repeat the words

• Teacher sticks all flash cards on the board and asks sts to close their eyes

• When sts close their eyes teacher turn one card over and asks sts to open their eyes and try to identify which word is missing (repeat 5-7 times)

Activity 2

• Teacher sticks pictures with numbers, sts should choose one of this picture and answer the question “How old are you?”

Activity 3

• Teacher says that today sts have a party. Teddy bears birthday. And Teddy invites them to birthday party. Sts should make a birthday cards or presents.

• Teacher plays the video “The wheels on the bus”. They go to the party.

• Sts asks bear “How old are you!”. Sts sing a song “Happy birthday!”

Activity 4

• Teacher gives cube with new words. Students flip the cube and should find the name of the picture. And they should collect points.
