4. Presentation of new material: Happy Birthday

Teacher shows a short cartoon about Birthday then pupils try to find the theme of the lesson

Introduction of new words: “Magic box”

Teacher demonstrates and drills birthday words: cake, balloons, candles, cards, presents, birthday hat using the activity "Magic Box"

1. Teacher brings the box with the hole to the class with objects

2. Students come to the board one by one and gets one object from the box and Teacher names this object in English

3. Whole class repeats the words after Teacher three times.

4. Teacher can ask each student to repeat the words

They can ask and answer the questions about their age. Learners have learned how to make birthday cards.
