Students watch the video, then answer the question: " What's about this video?" Teacher says that they are going to have a topic " My favourite sport". Learning and lesson objectives are introduced.

Then divide the class into three groups. Their names are: Volleyball, Basketball and Football.

Students write the words related to the topic which is drawn on the board as they know.

• More support can be given at the start and in middle of lesson by providing low-performing learners with story

• Learners, who are less confident at making up their own bubbles with the rules, can be given examples to follow.

• High-performing learners can be encouraged to use a wide range of vocabulary from the video clip when they summarise it to the others.

• Monitor how much vocabulary learners can recall from images on the video.

• Monitor how well learners can give reasons.

• Monitor learners as they summarise events from the story. Can they understand each event and can they sort them into chronological order?

• Monitor groups of learners as they agree on three reasons why people have rules for sport then share ideas with another group e.g.Do they take turns to speak? Do they contribute appropriate language for this activity?
