III. Explain new theme; using of “ Guess the melody” strategy.

T- putting on the music using of active board and use the strategy “ Guess the melody” Learners listen to the music and find the types of music or musical instruments.

Mikes favourite musical instrument.

Music is an important part of most cultures and there are many different types of musical instruments. Mikes favourite musical instrument to listen to is the guitar. Mikes like the fact that there are different types of guitar, like classical, acoustic and electric. I love the variety of sounds a guitar can make.

In this task learners uses the strategy “Hot seating”. Choose a learner to act in role as a specific character from a studied text. The rest of the class take it in turns to ask questions, which the learner must answer as their character.

Questions:

Do you play a musical instruments?

What is your favourite musical instrument?

Which musical instruments do you like listen to most?

What different types of guitar do you know?

Why do you like listen to guitar?

The lesson objectives were interesting for the children.

Doing activities, using strategies made the lesson was objective practical.

They learnt names of musical instruments and types of music. They spoke about their favourite music and instruments and some learners even played their favourite music with action.

To my mind the lesson was unusual because learners were active and well done. We used some methods to be interesting.
