Learners are given four pictures (Altay mountains, Irtysh river, green field, Markakol lake), prepared by the teacher and try to guess common topic by one word or phrase – the theme of the lesson.

In group learners find as many words as they remember from previous learning about “Wildlife and places in our region”. Leader of the group counts number of words, teacher comments.

Conclusion. Write “Cinquain” (G)

Learners in groups write a cinquain about nature of the place they live in

Rulers for writing a cinquain:

The first line – 1 noun

The second- 2 adjectives

The third – 3 verbs

The fourth – a main phrase

The last – the synonym of the main word

Reflction. “The Blob tree”

Learners identify own place on the tree

Home-task : for high level learners – to write an article about place you live in;

For middle level – to write 6 sentences;

For low level – to write the bank of new words connected with the theme, to write 2-3 sentences
