The main share in the export of Kazakhstan to the USA belong to ferrous and non-ferrous metals, fuel, chemical products.

Thought the share of the USA in the foreign trade of Kazakhstan is not very large, the USA is the largest investor to the economy of Kazakhstan. In the year of 2001 Americans investments to Kazakhstan amounted to USD 1,4 billion. The main part of the American capital is concentrated in the mineral resource industry, in particular, in the oil gas sector and is represented by such Kazakhstan – American Joint Ventures as the TengisChevroil.
