1. Organizational moment

-Greetings of the teacher.

-Response of the pupils: Good morning my teacher!

Good morning dear guests!

-Dividing into three groups with the help of plastic glasses.

Pupils choose one of the plastic glasses where the pictures of apples, banana and pears are designed. Teacher gives names of each group what are appropriately to the chosen pictures. The teacher asks pupils to choose the leader of each group.

2.Checking up the home task.

The method “Sticks and tails”

- (G) Check with the help of envelops. The teacher uses the method “Sticks and tails” to check pupils’ home task. The colored envelops are given to the leaders of each group. There are some words concerning the topic “Our body” which pupils of all groups should guess.

Descriptors:

-will find the words accordingly to the pictures and write down them;

-will work in group;

1. Presentation of new lesson.

- (D) Show the slide and put brainstorming questions about the pictures as following: a) What do you think about these pictures? b) What we can see in these pictures?

-will answer the questions;

-will name the special days in Kazakhstan;

-will/may say in Kazakh language;

-Teacher introduces with the theme of the lesson, with learning objectives and assessment criterion.

2. Method “ABC class words”.

-Teacher introduces with new words through (W) repeating them in three languages and gives worksheets with new words to each pupil.

Descriptors:

-will repeat after teacher;

-will learn by heart in three languages;

3. Presentation of the structure: I like…/I don’t like….

-Teacher teaches this structure with the help of slide.

- (W) Repeat several times, make some examples.

-will try to make their own examples;

4.The method “Jumbled words”.

-In this task pupils in their group should put the jumbled words in right order. The leaders of each group come to the desk and choose one of the coloured envelops. Then try to do the task in a limited time.

5. Kazakh national game “Togyzkumalak”.

- (G) Play the game putting the pictures on the right order. In this game pupils should put the pictures accordingly to the words written in the cells.

Descriptors:

-will put the pictures on the right column;

-will do the task more faster than other group;

-will understand the translations of the new words;

6. Work with Activity book.

- (I) The teacher asks pupils to open their activity book and do the given task individually.

Descriptors:

-will understand the use of the structure “I like/I don’t like”;

7. Relaxing time. Watch the video wrapping demonstration.

(W) Teacher puts a video of wrapping demonstration which helps pupils’ to relax.

Descriptors:

-will introduce with video;

-will learn how to wrap the present at parties;

8. The method “Talking letters”.

The teacher gives three pictures to each group. (G) Pupils must find which holiday is it and make up their names from the given letters.

Descriptors:

-will find the name of the holidays concerning the pictures;

-will learn to make up from the letters the names of the special days;

9. Feedback.

(D) The method “Basket”.

Teacher goes around the class and puts questions using the structure “I like/ I don’t like…” from each pupil. With such type of the method the teacher checks their comprehension about this structure.

(W) The method “Birthday cake”.

Teacher asks pupils to choose one of the candles and put it on the cake. They are explained how to use the colored candles. The teacher counts posters of each group which they have given during the lesson and name the winner group. Also makes the evaluation rubric of each pupil anonymously during the lesson.
