An annual plant is a plant that completes its life cycle, from germination to the production of seeds, within one year, and then dies.

A biennial plant is a flowering plant that takes two years to complete its biological lifecycling. In the first year, the plant grows leaves, stems, and roots (vegetative structures), next summer the plant flowers , producing fruits and seeds before it finally dies.

A perennial plant is a plant that lives more than two years

Embryogenesis is the process by which the embryo forms and develops.

Blastula single-layer fetus. Gastrula two-layer fetus. Neurula is formed at the end of the gastrula.

The outer layer of the fetal cell is ectoderm. The middle layer of the mesoderm. The inland layer of entoderm.

Define direct development: development without metamorphosis.

Metamorphosis is a biological process by which an animal physically develops after birth or hatching, involving a conspicuous and relatively abrupt change in the animal's body structure through cell growth and differentiation.
