Warm up

Revise the vocabulary from previous lesson.

Play the songs from previous lessons. Encourage the pupils to sing.

S will answer and sing.

Brainstorming

Put up the flashcards,one at a time, and say the corresponding words. Name a school item e.g. book. Ask them to show the book.

The pupils repeat chorally or individually.

New lesson

Refer the pupils to the picture and elicit the school items.Ask the pupils to trace and colour the school items.Then call out an item and ask from individual pupils to point to it and say what colour it is.

-It is a blue schoolbag.

-It is a red pencil.

-It is a green book.

-It is a yellow rubber.

-It is a purple pen.

Then write on the board new letters Uu and Vv, also corresponding words.

S will complete the activity.

S will write new letters.

Practice

Pick up a pencil and a pen, point to them and say: Get your pen!

Ask them to write the all letters from Aa-Vv in their copybooks.

The pupils listen and repeat them.

Reflection

Ask the pupils questions about what they can see in the pictures and divide the class into three as: family, objects,colours

-Please work within group and ask the meanings of the word.
