ANSWERS

1T 2T 3 F 4T

Pupils answer the question. Tell the class.

ANSWERS

I learnt that people with social anxiety feel that people are looking at them and judging them and that it can cause anxiety and panic attacks. One way to overcome this phobia is to imagine that you are at a social event and you feel happy and relaxed. Then, when you get there you will feel like that and forget your anxiety. You can also focus on other people and not on your feelings. If you stop avoiding social situations, little by little you'll get used to being with people

When I feel like that, I distract myself from what is worrying me by hanging out with my friends or watching a film. Also, I have read that by eating nuts, broccoli, yoghurt, whole grains and berries you can improve your mood. Avoid caffeine as it can make you moody.

Hope this helps. Write back and let me know how it goes.

Pupils work in pairs. Answer the following questions.

ANSWERS

I think the title of the book was changed because it was too long. It's good to have a longer title because it lets people know what the book is about before they read it, so they can decide if they want to buy it. On the other hand, having a longer title is bad because it's hard to remember. Also, in the case of 'Robinson Crusoe', the longer title gives away the ending of the story

Pupils listen to a professor presenting the characters of Robinson Crusoe and Friday. Use the adjectives from the list to complete the Venn diagram.

ANSWERS

Pupils answer the questions. Use conjunctions but, and, because. Write a few sentences.

ANSWERS

Robinson Crusoe is shipwrecked on an island, but Friday is a local man. Both Crusoe and Friday are clever because Crusoe makes things to help him survive and Friday learns English. They are also both brave. Friday is open, innocent and loyal.

Pupils listen to a professor giving a lecture about the setting and the symbolism of the footprint in Robinson Crusoe. Take notes to fill in the graphic organiser. Then, present the setting and the symbol of the footprint to the class.

ANSWERS

'Robinson Crusoe' is set on a desert island. The island is tropical and hot, with shade, fresh water and vegetation. It is also hilly. Crusoe builds a safe life for himself on the island, but he is alone. Then he finds a footprint. The footprint represents his feelings of confusion - he misses other people, but perhaps he also likes the life he has made for himself, living alone on the island.
