• Ask them to think of words beginning with these letters. Write them on the board.

• Ask children to make up a very short story. They work in pairs or small groups to do this.

Knowledge: class divides into small groups go around the class and give a card ‘metal’ to the first student, ‘plastic’ to the second student, and ‘wool’ to the third student, and repeat until every student has been

assigned a word. Then ask everyone to stand up and find the other people in their group. And you could say that all the ‘metals’ meet at the back of the room, all the ‘plastic’ at the front of the room, and all the ‘wool’ in the middle of the room.

• Look at the board and repeat the words after me: wool, metal, wood, glass, paper, plastic.

• Put the word cards on the board, point to one of the cards, e.g. wood and ask What’s this made of?

• Children have to find and they stick the card to it and soon.

• Then children ask questions to each other using the words from ex1

T: Very good, thank you children!

T: How many true sentences can you make? Look at the board and make true sentences about bread.

4 line: the phrase expressing the relation to a problem
