I Organization moment.

- Good morning, dear teachers, dear students! Nowadays it is very important to learn three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. As you know, there are about 3 thousand languages in the world. English is the most widespread. It is the official language in many countries. It is the official language of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the USA, of Australia and New Zealand. English is used as one of the official languages in Canada, in the Irish Republic and the Republic of South Africa. It is also spoken as a second language in many parts of India and Africa. English is now dominant or official language in more than 60 countries in the world. It is a language of Internet and it has become the language of business, politics, science, communication.

Now you’ll see a big competition called: “Live and Learn”. Ten students will take part in a game. Before beginning our competition let’s invite our judges. They will give you points for the competition. Our jury consists of the following teachers:

II. We wish you good luck and success. Let’s begin our game. The first round is

“Polyglot”. Knowing foreign languages has a practical value. It makes us easier to choose a profession and provides a job promotion. Today there are a lot of people in Europe and Asia who knows several languages. Ok, we want to know how many words you know. You’ll come to the board and take a card with the picture. Then you should give an answer in three languages (Kazakh, Russian and English). Each gamer gets three points for every correct answer. If the answer is wrong, you get no points.

III. The next round is “Адасқан әріптер”. We’ll give you words. In these words are missing letters. You should find the right variant and also you should give an answer in three languages (Kazakh, Russian and English). The task is to answer as quickly as possible. You should answer by one by. For the right answer – 3 points. After this round 3 students will leave our game who earns less points.

IV. The fourth round is «Grammar». You should answer by one by. If the participant cannot answer the question, the next player will answer it. For the right answer – 3 points. After this round- 2 students are left.

V. The next round is “Crocodile”. One student explain you the words by mimic. You should guess what this word is. You should give an answer in three languages (Kazakh, Russian and English). For the right answer you earn – 3 points. After this round for 2 students we’ll say good –bye.
