sentences in the past simple we use the base form of the verb, not
the past tense form: He didn’t play football. NOT

Point out that some of the affirmative sentences will be factually incorrect, so they should write correct sentences for these ones. • Ask students to compare their answers in pairs. They may need to refer to other sources to find the answers to these.
