Event Plan: Music and Dance Competition for 9th Graders
1. Objective of the Event:
To develop students' speaking and listening skills in English.
To showcase students' musical and dancing abilities.
To promote teamwork and creativity among the students.
2. Event Structure:
1. Introduction (5-10 minutes)
Explanation of the Event: Briefly explain the goals and rules of the competition.
Introduction to the Theme: Engage students in a conversation about "Music and Dance." Ask some questions related to the theme:
"What types of music do you like?"
"Do you know any famous dances?"
"What role does music play in your life?"
2. Singing Competition (10-15 minutes)
Song Selection: Each team will choose a song in English and perform it. Each group will prepare one song and present it.

Encourage teams to be creative with their choreography, ensuring that the dance fits with the music and they perform together as a unit

4. Peer Evaluation (5-10 minutes)
After each performance, groups will evaluate each other. This will help them develop constructive feedback skills and show respect for each other's efforts.
5. Conclusion and Awards (5-10 minutes)
Summary and Acknowledgment: Announce the winners based on their performances in both singing and dancing.
Awards: Present certificates or small prizes to the winning teams. Everyone should be congratulated for their participation, and creativity will be acknowledged.
