Beginning 5 minutes	Warm-up Game “Missing word” Teacher writes the musical instruments from the previous lesson on the active board and allows the students some time to look at them. Then she asks students to close their eyes. Teacher erases one of the words and asks the students to open their eyes and tell which musical instrument is missing. Leaners try to guess the topic of the lesson The topic and LOs are presented.		DIDACTIC MATERIAL 1
Middle 30 minutes	Presentation Leaners with teacher revise musical instruments Game “Guess the instrument” Students listen to the melody and guess the musical instruments Pair work. Leaners are suggested to write the names of musical instruments. Leaners work in pairs and compare their answers. What’s the word?Leaners write the word under the pictures. Leaners write the musical instruments in the correct group. (T’s support, Peers’ support) Leaners may consult with each other Find the mystery word! Leaners complete the crossword and find the mystery word. Assessment criteria: write at least 7 words correctly. Read the sentence. Circle the correct answer. Assessment criteria: circle at least 5 words correctly.In pairs Leaners compare their answers. Time to dance Pupils watch the video and dance. Group work Leaners divide into 3 groups. The leaners from the group mime playing a musical instrument. The other groups try to guess what is it. Whoever guesses correctly comes to the front of the class and the game continues. Speaking. Group discussion. Leaners discuss the following statements. Music is only a combination of pleasant sounds. Music is an important part of our life. Tastes differ in the world of music.
