Divide into 2 groups by selecting the uyk from the shanyrak (crown of the yurt)

Students name the vocabulary given for homework by looking at their pictures.

Conveying the meaning of new words. Vocabulary related to occupations.

Tennis player-теннисші;

People-адамдар;

Famous-атақты.

• Ss look at the pictures in the vocabulary section. Play the recording a few times, and Ss point to the corresponding pictures and repeat.

• Say the words again in random order and have Ss point and repeat

Activity 1. Group work. Look and match.

• Give Ss tasks and explain to them that they have to read new words and match with pictures.

• Ss compare their answers in pairs first,then check as a class.

• Explain to Ss that they are going to listen to a text about these people.

Activity 2. Pair work

• Direct Ss’ attention to the pictures and ask them to decide if the stament is TRUE or FALSE (two famous people from Kazakhstan, Dimash Kudaibergen and Zarina Diyas).

• • Ask if they know who these people are and what they do/what they are famous for.
