  • Greet learners. Ask about previous learning:

  • Ask a question: What is Heritage and Treasure? Show slide 3 Explain the concepts.

Vocabulary.

Give the children cards with picture and their translate into three languages

  • Ask if they know what chests are used for. Show slide 13 and images of pirates. Ask learners if they know any famous pirates or stories about pirates.

  • Ask learners the following questions

What do pirates usually look for? (treasure)

What transport do pirates use? (boats, ships)

What bird is usually there on a pirate’s shoulder? (a parrot)

What clothes do pirates usually have? (trousers, shirt, hat, boots)

  • Introduction of the topic.

  • Introduce lesson objectives.

New Words

  • Introduce new vocabulary on Slides 14-26.

  • Distribute the vocabulary list and ask learners to glue them into their vocabularies.

Make sure all learners pronounce the words correctly.

  • Once they read their paragraphs, a member from each team will be grouped in other 3 groups so that they can share their findings with other members. Divide the roles in a group: a note taker, a speaker, and person who asks questions.

  • Distribute learners the copies of the original text and ask them find imperatives in pairs.
