Start (Beginning of the lesson)

Greeting: Teacher teaches the learners to greet one another in English; learners respond to greeting of the teacher and take their places. Warming up: How do you think what theme we have for today?

Students reading the text on page 30 and ask then to find examples of affirmative and negative forms of the past simple.

Elicit verb forms and write them on the board. Ask students what difference they notice between the affirmative and negative forms. Elicit ideas, but do not give an explanation at this stage.

Middle (of the lesson)

Teacher pre-teaches the words: become, buy, get ,go graduate learn, leave

using flashcards, simple mimes and gestures.

Learners listen the words carefully and practice the words in English.
