Listening “Education in Kazakhstan ”

The educational system in Kazakhstan is presented by two languages: Kazakh and Russian.

Today the educational system in Kazakhstan presents a broad range of methods and forms and employs highly skilled and educated teachers.

At the state educational institutions the education remains free for citizens of the Republic.

Primary education is the most developed of the states educational system. Pupils receive their primary education in schools of three different levels primary (1-4 grades), middle (5-9 grades) and junior (10-11grades ). Middle is mandatory in Kazakhstan. After finishing the 9th grade, children continue education in high school, in technical- professional institutes, or in special schools.

Recently , Kazakhstan also developed several new types of school with greater specialization such as gymnasium , technical lycees and private school. Education is free , except those which works on a commercial basis.

The private educational system started to take form in the country only after its independence. In order to open private institutions it is necessary to receive a special license. Their work is evaluated by a special committee on accreditation.
