WARMING UP

Pupils make a circle holding hands and say what teacher says and do she says.

Then pupils say opposite of what T says and do what she says.

Teacher demonstrates how to pronounce new words on flashcards: circus, zoo, park, farm, mountains. Teacher asks pupils to close their eyes and hide one of the pictures, pupils find what is missing.

Listen to the song “We are going to the Zoo.”

Today we are going to speak about Days out.

Days of the week are given in jumbled order. Pupils put them in the correct order.

Pupils listen to the CD.

1. Mum, it’s Saturday today. Let’s go the Zoo.

2. Our Zoo is big. There are many animals here.

3. Is there an elephant in the Zoo? Yes, there is.

4. Are there zebras in the zoo? Yes, there are.

5. Is there a panda in the zoo? No, there isn’t.

6. Are there penguins in the zoo? No, there aren’t.

Teacher demonstrates what learners have to do with a model question. Teacher then asks about animals.
