Organizational moment: Greet students. Create a positive learning atmosphere. How are you feeling ? Warming up “Stand-up if .....” Create an energetic and fun start, activate prior knowledge, and introduce the lesson topic.
Teacher divides students into two groups using word cards. Prepare cards with colors, numbers, words, or symbols. Hand them out randomly to students, and then announce that groups are formed based on these cards. For example: "Students with the same symbol/color are one team." |

Emergency services are organizations that provide immediate help during dangerous or urgent situations. They are essential for public safety and respond to emergencies like fires, accidents, crimes, and medical issues. Who Are They? 1)Police: Handle crimes, traffic incidents, and public safety issues. 2)Fire Service: Respond to fires, rescues, and hazardous situations. 3)Ambulance Service: Provide medical assistance and transport to hospitals. 4)Coastguard: Rescue people in water-related emergencies. 5)Utility Services: Handle issues like gas leaks, power outages, or water supply problems.
Which of the services (1-4) would you call for each of these problems? • Read out the services 1-4 and the emergencies A-D and explain/elicit the meaning of any unknown words. • Read out the example. Ss match the items. • Check Ss' answers.
Listen and read to find out. Play the recording. Ss listen and follow the dialogue in their books and find out which emergency service the call is to. Ex 4 p 48 • Play the recording again. Ss listen and then take roles and act out the dialogue in closed pairs. • Monitor the activity around the class and then ask various pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class. Additional Task: Pyramid method Students must find the correct answer and stack the glasses on top of each other to form a pyramid. There should be 4 glasses on the first level, 3 on the second level, 2 on the third level, and 1 glass at the end. Time
