Ex: 1 P: 35 • Focus students’ attention on the two columns. Ask them what the currency symbol £ represents and elicit that it represents pounds, the currency used in the UK. Point out that there are 100 pence in one pound. If you can, tell students how much £1 is worth in their currency. • Explain the task. Students complete it individually and check their answers in pairs. Check answers as a class. • Model the prices for pronunciation and ask students to repeat Ex: 3 Write about the shops in the shopping centre
