Warm up

Ask them names of jobs and other words from previous lesson by throwing a ball.

Brainstorming

Have the pupils read the text in ex 18 and translate.

S will read and point to the pictures and say their names.

New lesson

Put up the pictures on the board. Point to them and name them. Ask individual pupils to name them.

Then remove the pictures from the board and shuffle them. Write the all corresponding words on the board. Ask the pupils to put the pictures above the corresponding words.

S will come to the board and complete the activity.

Practice

Remind the pupils that we use the past simple to talk about actions that happened in the past at a specific time. To form the past simple we add –ed at the end of the verb or if the verb is irregular, we use a different form of the word (wear-wore).

Ask the pupils to find the verbs in the ex.

Then say and write on the board: You must be quiet in class. You mustn’t eat in the class.. Explain that we use must to say what we are obliged to do and mustn’t to say what we are forbidden to do. Then have them do ex 19.

S will write and complete the activity.

Reflection

Ask the pupils to think of some school rules and write them on the board. Then ask to illustrate a rule:

-What is the rule?

-We mustn’t chew gum in class.

Ask a pupil to think of a classroom rule and mime it. Repeat the activity with other pupils

.

The pupils in pairs take turns presenting the rules, asking and answering.

The pupils mime the rules and the rest of the class guess it.

Home task

Give them all of the corresponding activities from the Activity book for homework.
