The article discusses the specifics of communications in the Kazakh society; identifies the main types of communication, including their advantages and disadvantages.
The aim of the work was to study the types of communication (verbal and non-verbal) that are used on the territory of Kazakhstan. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to solve several tasks, namely:
1) Expand the content of the concept of communication.
2) Consider the types of communication used on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As you know, communication is the main means of communication in the life of every person and plays a significant role in contributing to the successful exchange of information. There are such types of communications as organizational and interpersonal, the first in turn are subdivided into: external, internal, formal, vertical (ascending, descending), horizontal communications, informal. Communication is, first of all, the process of communication, which includes various types, namely: verbal (verbal communication) and non-verbal (communication with gestures, facial expressions, postures, glance, subtle movements) communication.
Verbal communication is oral verbal communication based on the use of speech, since the word is the most important component that affects people.
Speech can generate both positive and negative emotions, influencing changes in mood, morale and working capacity of the individual.
Non-verbal communication is a special type of communication based on body language, including facial expressions, gestures, and is used not only among ordinary people and people with disabilities, but also among successful politicians, businessmen, and actors. Often non-verbal communication is used so that only a certain number of people can understand information, while hiding any information from others. According to modern psychologists [2, p. 5], that is why today a person receives about 60% of all information in this way of communication [1, 362].
We conducted a survey on the topic: "What type of communication (verbal, non-verbal communication) prevails in your life?"
The survey was conducted among students of the M.Auezov SKU. Out of 24 respondents, among whom there were 16 girls and 8 boys, the overwhelming majority - 64% say that verbal communication prevails in their life. At the same time, 36% are sure that the non-verbal way of communication prevails in their life.
The survey results are presented in diagram 1.
Diagram 1.

So, from this survey, we concluded that people are more inherent and comfortable with a verbal way of communication than a non-verbal one.
We conducted a study to identify the ratio of verbal and non-verbal forms of communication, in which respondents were asked to answer the question: "What do you pay attention to in the process of communication?" Out of 33 respondents, among whom there were 25 girls and 8 guys, the overwhelming majority - 17 (56%) report that they pay most attention to the speaker's facial expressions. 8 respondents (24%) claim that in the process of communication they pay attention to the eyes of the interlocutor. 6 people (13%) pay more attention to gestures. And only 2 people (7%), when communicating, pay attention to the interlocutor's hairstyle. In general, the results of the study are presented in Diagram 2.
Diagram 2.

Thus, based on the results obtained, in the course of this survey, it was found that in the process of communication, people primarily pay attention to the facial expressions of the interlocutor, and at the same time, eyes, gestures and hairstyle are important for them.
When asked whether they pay attention to the expression on the speaker's face, out of 37 respondents, among whom there were 25 girls and 12 boys. Тhe overwhelming majority - 24 (67%) answered positively, 11 respondents (30%) claim that they pay attention to the expression on the speaker's face, but not always, this opinion was expressed by 11 students aged 17-18. At the same time, 2 people (3%) said that they did not pay attention to their interlocutor's expression at all. Schematically, this ratio looks as follows [2, 125] (Diagram 3):
Diagram 3.

In the course of this survey, it was revealed that the majority of respondents, when communicating with their interlocutors, largely pay attention to the speaker's facial expression.
So, the analysis shows that, in general, preference is given to the verbal method of communication. However, non-verbal communication plays a significant role in human communication and serves as an important source of information. The research results can find practical application in communication training, counseling services, as well as in real life situations.
