THE ROLE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN MODERN EDUCATION

In recent years, information technologies have increasingly transformed the field of education by providing new tools and methods that enhance learning outcomes, increase student engagement, and make educational resources more accessible. The main purpose of this research is to examine how the integration of digital tools, including online platforms, interactive applications, and video lectures, affects the quality and efficiency of modern education. The study investigates the advantages, challenges, and practical applications of information technologies in learning environments. The methodology used includes qualitative analysis, comparison, synthesis, and generalization of scientific literature and educational resources, allowing the research to evaluate the effectiveness of various digital learning tools and strategies. The results demonstrate that technology enables flexible learning schedules, supports personalized education, and facilitates better communication between teachers and students. Interactive learning tools, such as quizzes, virtual classrooms, and collaborative platforms, improve motivation and engagement by making the learning process more dynamic and student-centered. However, challenges such as digital inequality, limited access to necessary devices, and insufficient technical skills among some educators highlight the need for careful implementation and training. The research also emphasizes that technology should complement, rather than replace, traditional teaching methods to maximize educational effectiveness. The practical significance of this study lies in providing recommendations for enhancing digital learning environments, promoting equal access to educational resources, and developing strategies for effective use of technology in classrooms. The scientific contribution of the work is to provide evidence-based insights into the role of technology in modern education and to identify best practices for its integration. In conclusion, the integration of information technologies in education significantly improves learning quality, accessibility, and student engagement, while addressing the challenges of digital readiness and equity remains essential for achieving the full potential of these innovations.
